About A.C.T., Inc.

A.C.T. Inc., or Associated Community Talents Inc., is a non-profit corporation, formed in 1982, for the expressed purpose of purchasing and restoring the Everett Theatre.  The members of the community who formed A.C.T. were determined to reach their goal of making the Everett Theatre, once again, the center for community theater and community service, and a source of community pride.  Funds were, and continue to be raised through various grants, corporate and individual contributions, and proceeds generated from movies, stage productions and other community events.

In 1999, A.C.T. Inc. purchased the Napa Auto Parts building on the west side of the Everett Theatre with the vision of opening a community arts center. Officially named the Gilbert W. Perry, Jr. Center for the Arts in honor of a local and beloved artist, The Gibby Center opened its doors in autumn, 2006 with its first session of arts classes. A.C.T., Inc. is proud to be adding the visual arts to its mission of bringing the arts to the M.O.T. community.
